Del started outfitting with his dad over 30 years ago and has had a very good hunter success rate throughout the years. Moose have been taken moose with spreads of 50", elk with 7x8 and black bear 8 feet plus! Bredeson Guiding & Outfitting specializes in moose and elk calling during the rut, and are very successful at it.
As a young man, Del gained experience with other outfitting companies. Del wrangled and guided in British Columbia with an outfitter named Tom Mould, then went to Great Bear Lake with Jennie Branson to a fishing lodge (Branson’s Cameron Bay Lodge) and then worked with Murd McAuley from Fairview, Alberta on the Big Smoky River and the Peace River.
Combined with their love for hunting and the outdoors, Del and Evelyn also know the importance of satisfied customers. It is for this reason that only a limited amount of hunters are taken out each year. Bredeson Guiding & Outfitting take only two hunters out per hunt ensuring a better and more successful hunt.
Bredeson Guiding & Outfitting currently run two traplines; one located in the lower Big Smoky River and Wapiti River junction (WMU F356) and the other higher in the foothills south of Grande Prairie (WMU F355).
